Eva Marie (Meloche) McWade
August 7, 1919 – September 19, 2013
Eva passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack McWade in 1989. Left to mourn her passing are children; Michael McWade of Nanaimo, Patrick McWade (Wendy Nordby) of Southampton, Nova Scotia, Tony (Cathy) McWade of Princeton, Ontario, and Kim McWade of Cobble Hill, BC; grandchildren Baleigh McWade of Southampton,Nova Scotia and Ben McWade of Princeton, Ontario, Liam and Jackie McWade of Princeton, Ontario; great grand daughter, Molly McWade; siblings, Rita Meloche of Windsor, Ontario, Harry and Ollie Meloche of Windsor, Ontario; special friend, Al Springett of Nanaimo, BC.
Eva was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario where she worked for the Windsor Red Cross. She also spent many happy hours volunteering at the Hotel Dieux Hospital in Windsor, was an avid curler in both Ontario and British Columbia, enjoyed square dancing and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
The family send heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone at the Nanaimo Travellers Lodge for all the help and attention they gave to Eva during her stay there.
A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday,
September 25th at Yates Funeral Chapel followed by a burial in the Qualicum Beach Civic Cemetery.
