Florence “Flo” Neden
Our Wonderful Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Cousin, and Friend . . .
Flo Neden, devoted wife of Jim Neden, daughter of Sid and Sadie Brittain, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 surrounded by her family. Flo, a long time Hilliers resident, was 85. Mom showed us true courage, strength, love, and always had a positive attitude. She shared her wonderful smile with all of us.
We Will Love You Forever!
We all wish to thank Dr Haslett, Karen, and Tracey, VIHA, and all the Community Care Aides who helped Mom live in her own home. Special thanks to Alana, R.N. for her gentleness and kindness in treating Mom. We really appreciated the home visits from Lifelabs. Also thank you for the care Mom was given at the Victoria and Nanaimo Cancer Clinics over the many years. Mom wanted to say “Thank You” to Reverend Mas Iwasawa for supporting her spiritual strength.
There will be no service at her request. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Flo’s memory to either the Nanaimo Cancer Clinic or Grace United Church in Coombs.
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all the she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and
turn your back
Or you can do what she’d want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
