August 8, 1930 ~ June 27, 2009

Frank was born in Brandon, Manitoba to John & Cora Poruchny and predeceased by son David (1979).

Frank & Joyce lived in Winnipeg for 42 years where he worked as a salesman in many industries.

Frank was always involved with music, both as a musician & manager of music stores.

Frank & Joyce kept travelling west to Edmonton & Prince George and finally to Parksville, wintering in Arizona for many years.

Frank joined the ELKS in Winnipeg and was an active member for 40 years, playing in the banjo bands & patrol team competitions in Prince George. In Parksville, Frank really enjoyed being a member of the OLD TIME FIDDLERS where he played banjo and mandolin.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joyce, by his sister Jean Speed (Glen), his brother Walter (Vera) Poruchny and his 5 children: Douglas (Holly), Donald (Beth), Tom (Diane), Cathy McLay (Phil) & Mark (Leah), and grandchildren Melissa, Destiny, Trevor, Travis, Jennifer, Derek, Richard, Marley & Meagan and great grandson Riley.

The family wishes to acknowledge the many kindnesses extended to Frank by the staff at the Trillium Lodge and at the Palliative Care Unit, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. We are eternally grateful.
