"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart" Proverbs 3:3

Gail Stevenson's very successful and fulfilled life has come to an end. She was born in Vancouver to Thomas (TK) and Evelyn Laidlaw in 1936 and remained a proud Vancouverite her entire life. Loving mother of David (Grainne), Anne, Evelyn (Mark Meloche) and Jake Locke (Heather Mackay). She was predeceased by her devoted husband Kenneth Theodore Stevenson, her

parents, and her brother Harry. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, as well as brothers-in-law John (Elizabeth) and Donald (Suzanne), and sister-in-law Sally.

Gail attended York House School and was an avid equestrian and animal lover. In 1953 she found the love of her life and they were married in 1957. A lifelong romance began. Ken and Gail were partners in all aspects of their lives, starting with Stevenson Construction and ultimately Pennyfarthing Development in partnership with Tony Hepworth. Gail also expressed both her creativity and business acumen through her store, The Legh Shop, in Kerrisdale.

Throughout her life, Gail engaged fully and compassionately in everything she undertook. Her family and friends were always a priority for her. Many have great memories of her and Ken's spectacular parties in Vancouver and summers at their beloved Qualicum Beach home.

One of her greatest joys was serving the Lord in pastoral ministry in Vancouver and on

Vancouver Island. She always had a listening ear for anyone who needed support. In her later years, she found great joy and purpose in writing and has published several books. Gail was a leader, a mentor, an inspiration, and a true beauty. She was the epitome of grace and elegance.

We will miss her immensely and are so proud and honoured to have had her as our mother, grandmother and friend.

There will be a Celebration of Gail's Life at both St. Stephen's Church in Qualicum Beach on Saturday, April 28th at 2 pm and The Chapel of Epiphany (UBC) in Vancouver on Saturday, May 5th at 2:30 pm.
