It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, Gary Kalt on August 31, 2010. Gary was born on September 30, 1957 in Victoria, BC to Hans and Emmy Kalt, where he lived before moving to Port Alberni, BC in 1977 and then to Qualicum Beach, BC in 1985. He accomplished many things with perfection during his lifetime as a bricklayer, stonemason, farmer, cook and chef. Gary will always be remembered as a kind, loving, talented man with a great sense of humour, who loved his family dearly. He leaves behind his wife and best friend Mary, daughter Andrea (Devin), son Jordan, mother Emmy, sisters Gail (Mike) and Annette (Russ), cherished grandchildren; Connar, Dorian, Ayden and Keira, brother and sister-in-law George and Sharon Hamlyn and his nieces and nephews. Gary was more than a husband, he was a soul mate and he was more than a loving father, he was a kind teacher. We will miss him forever.
