George Edward Millar, born December 6 1940, in Rutland BC, passed from this life on December 8, 2020 at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Beverly; daughters - Susan Gaunt, Gail Millar, Linda Reid, son-in-law Alan Reid, sister Penny Hendricks and her husband Garth Hendricks.
George retired in Parksville after 38 years in Public Service: 15 in the RCAF and 23 with the navy as a civilian at Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Range (CFMETR) Nanoose Bay. He was a man who offered his time with his church - Knox United; a member of the Parksville Legion; and the Parksville Lions.
He was a gentle man full of fun and always ready to lend a hand to family and friends.
