August 11, 1930 - June 18, 2018
With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of George on Monday, June 18th, 2018. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 64 years, Natalie; children, Carol, Robert and Steve; six grandchildren; three siblings; and many other friends and family. George was predeceased by his eldest son, Michael.
Born in Russia in 1930, George was raised in EChina. In 1951, he immigrated to Canada where he and Natalie married, and raised their four children. George spent his career in the film industry as a repairman for editing equipment. He managed the supply of equipment to the editing department for CBS Studios.
In September of 1992, George and his wife moved to Qualicum Beach where he continued his passion for quilting, bowling, and his love of fishing. He also enjoyed gardening right to his last few days. George loved travelling and was very fortunate to have visited dozens of countries.
