1937 - 2014
George (Rowland) Mills went to be with his Lord on April 4th, 2014. He was born in Perth, Scotland in 1937 and moved to Canada with his wife and family in 1968. He was employed as a nurse and nurse educator in Britian and Canada before retiring to the Island in 1993.
Rowland lived his life dedicated to humbly serving God, the church, and his family.
He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife of 53 years, Wilma; daughter Judy, son-in-law Jeff, daughter-in-law Sarah; grandchildren Isaiah, Gillian, Laura, Robert, Julia and sister Mina in Scotland. He was predeceased by son, Keith in 2009.
Rowland enjoyed living in Qualicum Beach and over the years volunteered his time with QB Garden Club, The Heritage Forest Preservation, Milner Gardens and COPS.
We wish to thank the staff on the 3rd floor of The Gardens for their excellent and loving care. A special thanks also goes to Dr. Haslett for his support through this difficult time.
