Gerhard Walter Mothes
March 13, 1923 – August 3, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerhard Walter Mothes on August 3, 2016.
Gerhard is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce Nora Mothes, step-son, Leonard (Rae) Ramsden of Parksville, BC, grandchildren, Steven Ramsden, Richard Ramsden, Michael Ramsden, Erin Redden and Kevin Redden and sister, Christine Hildabrande of Leipzig, Germany. He will also be missed by his friends, Michael Mcfeelly and Fritz Kunze. Gerhard was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Freida Mothes of Leipzig, Germany.
Gerhard was a World War II Veteran. Although he spent the majority of his career working as a landscaper and gardener, he also worked in the logging and mining industries.
Gerhard’s family would like to give a special Thanks to the staff at Trillium Lodge as well as Dr. Haslett, Dr. Fletcher and Dr. Bartlett.
