Audrey was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Hardy; second husband, George Barker; sisters, Lillian, Ethel, Edythe; and brothers, Walter, and Dick.

Audrey will be forever missed by her daughters, Judy McQuillan (Bob) of Courtenay, BC, Mary Kerr (Bill) of Parksville, BC, Sherry Ann Chiasson (Gerard) of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren, Tracy, Kevin, Kerry, Terry, and Christopher; and great grandchildren, Ryan, Kristian, Steven, Kaitlin, Taylor, Sydney, Bili Be; brothers, Harold Price of Brantford, Ontario, Tom Price (Peggy) of Port Alberni, BC, Jack Price of Edmonton, Alberta and Bob Price (Ina) of Port Alberni, BC.

Audrey was born in Hillcrest, Alberta on August 17, 1925 to Tom and Gertrude Price where Tom was a coal miner in the Bellevue Mines. Audrey was the second youngest of 4 daughters and 6 sons. She married Henry Hardy on September 25, 1943, at the young age of 18. Sadly, Henry passed away in Lethbridge, Alberta December 27, 1985 at the age of 66. Two years later Audrey moved from Lethbridge to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, a quaint little village that she had loved for many years. She immediately became immersed into the community joining and volunteering at St Stephens United Church and joining the Ladies Auxiliary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76.

In 1992, Audrey met George Barker and they married on June 21, 1993. George passed away on January 14, 2005 at the age of 84. Audrey was devoted to St Stephens United Church and to the Ladies Auxiliary at the Legion, where she served on the Executive in a number of capacities and was a life member. For the last seven years, Audrey lived at Qualicum Manor where she made more friends and certainly captivated the hearts of many of the staff. She will be missed by family and friends.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Qualicum Manor who treated Mom with loving care; a special hug also goes out to her dear Manor friend and walking companion, Joy Shimek.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Stephens United Church, 150 Village Way in Qualicum Beach with Reverend Phil Spencer officiating.
