Glenn Irvine Naylor

Glenn, Dad, Grampa, was born in Innisfail, Alberta, September 5, 1927.

He was one of seven children, and when he was a child his family moved to Vancouver Island, where his long life began to unfold.

He married his beloved Aggie in 1950 and they settled in Qualicum Beach to raise their family. They eventually moved to the big city of Parksville, but not before he had made his mark in that community.

He was a founding member of the Qualicum Beach curling club, where, for a time, he served as president.

He was Fire Chief and had many stories of how fighting fires was done back in the day. His working life during this time was varied, from bicycle salesman and taxi driver to ice delivery.

Glenn was predeceased by his wife Aggie in 2010 and is survived by his four children, Rob (Lori), Bill (Kim), Mike (Dona) Sue (Bryan); eight grandchildren, Roshene, Hayden, Katie, Meg, Danielle, Raymond, Matthew and Liam and five great grandchildren, Aleda, Helena, Charles, Penelope and Yara.

He was a talented conversationalist, so well informed on many subjects.

He always had time to stop and, not only talk, but listen as well.

At family gatherings he was the first to raise his glass in appreciation for the company he was in.

He was a man admired by many, and we will miss him dearly.
