BUICK, Gordon
Born in Lyleton, Manitoba Sept. 10, 1918, passed away in Nanaimo General Hospital February 26, 2004.
He was predeceased by his wife Beth; sons Jerry and Rocky; sisters Margaret and Irene; brothers John, David and Allan. Left to mourn are sons Randy (Margot), Vic (Suzi); grandchildren Rene (Mark), Darren (Michele), Wayne (Thea), Jessie (Sherri), Kelly (Jacque), and Jason; five great-grandchildren. Gordon was raised on a Manitoba farm and came to the Alberni Valley as a young man. He worked throughout his life in the forest industry as a carpenter-millwright. Gordon enjoyed his later years of life in Parksville, BC. His involvement in the Bowling Club and Parksville Seniors especially gave him many hours of pleasure. No service by his request. He requested that friends and relatives remember him at the family Sproat Lake cabin when the flowers are in bloom later in the spring.
