February 23, 1926 - April 16, 2020
Our mum, Gwenda, passed away after a long battle with heart failure. She is predeceased by our dad, Len (who left us in 2010 - at which time they had been married for 64 years) and her three brothers.
Left to remember her are her children - Susan (Mike), Len (Bonny), Tom (April), Chris (Colleen), and Andrew (Carol) along with 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild; a niece and nephews in New Zealand ; a niece and nephew and brother-in-law in England.
She was born in England and met our dad when he was on leave from the British army during WWII. After the war, they left for Canada, by boat - dad going first and mum following with 2 very small children and meeting dad in Alberta. The family, who later numbered 3 children, moved to B.C., where 2 more children were born.
Mum had been a homemaker and home and family were always the priority. She enjoyed the rural life with gardens and chickens. She also sang in the church choir and enjoyed and sang show tunes.
We will think of her often with love.
