Harold James McColm
July 26, 1916 – June 2, 2015
Sadly the family announce the passing of Harold on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Agnes. He leaves behind to mourn his passing sons, Edward McColm of Victoria, David (Sandy) of Langley; daughter, Sharon (Ron) Harris of Osoyoos; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Harold served with the RCAF during WWII and had many varied careers during his life. He worked for Spear & Jackson and Henry Disston & Sons as saw maker/filer, the Vancouver Fire Department as a first responder and later in the capacity as an Inspector/Investigator.
Harold loved the outdoors and spent many happy hours fishing, golfing and gardening when he was not indulging in his passion for travel. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
A Funeral Mass was held in his honour
on Wednesday, June 10th at the
Church of the Ascension in Parksville.
