Harris died on Friday, September 30, swiftly and painlessly, after an afternoon of fishing (which he loved so much).
He leaves his wife and partner of 40 years, Lois, sons Rod (Janice), and Steve (Jenny), his adored granddaughter Rachel, brother Dan,
many much loved nieces and nephews, as well as a host of wonderful friends and clients, whom he considered family.
During his lifetime he was privileged to have the opportunity to coach various baseball and football teams. He had a blast (it was never
really clear who was teaching whom). Later, he was able to train both sons as artists—he learned as much as he taught.
He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his art. His light will shine in our hearts always.
A celebration of Harris’ life will be held at his family home in Parksville on Saturday, October 8, from 1:00-4:00pm. Drop-in or call 250-228-0184.
