Harry Litchfield Pearson ended his journey with prostrate cancer on August 28, 2014 at 5:00am, with his wife of 62 years, Merilyn, and his 4 daughters: Carol, Janet, Kathy and Barb, at his side. He will be missed deeply.

He will also be missed by his sister Ruth, his 9 grandchildren, his great grandson, his sons in law and all of those who knew him.

Harry’s entire teaching career was spent in Port Alberni at ADSS. Over these 33 years his positive outlook and easy going nature touched the lives of many students and colleagues who still remember him dearly.

For his entire life, Harry was passionate about the outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, hiking, building, skiing, traveling, wine making and reading.

When Harry retired, he and Merilyn moved to Nanoose Bay, where his passions filled his life until his death.

Many thanks to Dr. John Riegar, the Home Care Nurses and Home Support team who cared for Harry during the past seven months.

A celebration of Harry’s life will take place at Eaglecrest Golf Club in Qualicum Beach on Saturday, September 6 at 2:00 pm.
