1927– 2006

Harry passed away on May 19th, after a ten year battle with cancer.

He was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and graduated from Teacher’s College in Truro. He moved to Ucluelet, BC in 1946 where he met and married Norine Lange in 1953. He worked in the logging industry in Ucluelet for 32 years. Harry retired in 1985, when they moved to Qualicum Beach. He was a member of the Masons., Manoah Lodge in Tofino, an avid curler and a Toronto Maple Leaf fan.

Predeceased by his only son Bill and his parents Henry and Lydia, he leaves to mourn; his wife of 53 years, Norine, daughters Beverly (Chris) and Valerie; two grandchildren Brooke and Leif; sister Ruth (Ken Wadden); brother Tod (Helen); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Biglow, Oceanside Hospice, and the many kind staff who provided home care services to make his last days comfortable.

Cremation – no service at Harry’s request.
