BIGGS, Heather Ruth (Griffin)
Born May 10, 1955, Passed Away May 23, 2005
Born in Nanaimo, she leaves us to mourn her passing; her parents Rod and Cathy Griffin, Lantzville; sister Pam Bellingham (Ken), nephew Mathew, nieces Chantelle and Chelsea Heather, Lantzville. Her daughter Rachel Biggs (Kurt) Los Angeles; and her sons, Kauri
and Jamie Godkin, Lantzville. Her partner and best friend Carl Whitmee of Parksville and many aunts and uncles who enjoyed her sense of humour that never failed though a long and painful illness. She was also known for her kindness and her delicious mashed potatoes.
A private family gathering was held May 29th.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Nanaimo Hospital would mean a lot to Heather and her family. The care they gave had to be seen to be believed.
Special thanks to ICU Dr. Shwartz, nurses Barbara, Margarate, Karen. 6th floor Sonja and her students. Palliative care Dr. Calvin and nurses who are truly angels of mercy.
We will never forget Carol, Vi, Pat, Charlotte and Wendy, their knowledge and caring made Heather’s trip to a better place bearable. God Bless you all.
