Helen was born in Cosine, Saskatchewan to Clement and Bertha Ritter. She attended school in Kerrobert and North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Helen married Andy Jackson in 1949 at Cold Lake Alberta moving to Terrace, BC in 1958 where they resided until 1980. She worked at Terrace Post Office from 1960 to 1972 much of this time serving as a postal union representative. In 1980, Andy and Helen retired to Bowser on Vancouver Island where she was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Br. #211.
Helen always loved a good debate and to lose herself in a book. Her family was the most important thing to her and she dedicated her life to caring for her children and making a wonderful, and loving home. Helen especially enjoyed her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and was the most amazing Grandma!
The family extends special thanks to the Myhres, Smith, Munson and Walsh families for their support.
