Henrica “Rita” van de Nobelen
April 10, 1929 – July 23, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henrica Anna Maria “Rita” van de Nobelen on July 23, 2016 at Trillium Lodge In Parksville, BC.
Rita was born on April 10th 1929 in Eindhoven, Netherlands. Rita immigrated to Canada in 1953 to be with her husband, Peter. After residing in Ontario for many years, they settled in BC with their family. They eventually retired on Vancouver Island.
In retirement, Peter and Rita loved traveling to Mexico where they spent their winters for almost 30 years. Rita enjoyed journaling, knitting, painting and camping.
Rita will be greatly missed by her husband of 63 years and their five children: John, Marian, Sylvia, Peter and Dorothy, their spouses, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
At Rita’s request, there will be no service.
