WICKETT, Hilda (Allen)

May 4, 1914 - August 26, 2005

Hilda, who passed away peacefully at home, has left her immediate and extended family a legacy of fine examples in living with a strong faith, courage to face challenges, a strong work ethic, and a caring and giving nature. Her son David (Lynne) and daughter Valerie (Clair),

6 grandchildren: Sean & Christopher Wickett; Mark, Owen and Roland Davies, Shauna White, and 9 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Zachary, Olivia, & Noah Wickett; Shelby, Kiefer, Cameron & Quinn Davies; and Nolan White will carry her love with them forever. She is survived

by brothers Beverley and Peter Allen, in England. In Brandon Hilda was very active in service work at St. Matthew’s Cathedral, IODF, and with Girl Guides. She became a successful realtor

after she and Stanley returned to Vancouver Island, where he predeceased her in 1995. She gave her all to her family, her community, her friends, her work, her garden and her many hobbies.

The family wishes to acknowledge with sincere appreciation Dr. R. Henderson and the Parksville Home & Community Care nurses and health workers for their excellent caring service.

Hilda longed for peace on this earth and for the care of children in need.

In lieu of flowers and cards, a gift to children in distress, to cancer research, or to a

charity of choice would be Hilda’s wish. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 2600 Powder Point Road, Nanoose Bay, BC on Saturday, September

3 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Peter Norman officiating. Thank you to the St. Mary’s family.
