ARNKENS, Hildegard Klara "Hilda"
With overwhelming sadness we regretfully announce the sudden death of an amazing woman.
Hilda died peacefully in Victoria on May 16th. She will be deeply missed by her husband Helmut of 57 years, her son Rolf (Brenda) grandchildren Mason & Scott, great-granddaughter Brianna, daughter Heidi (Bill) grandchildren Trevor & Dylan. Hilda is survived by many loving in-laws including Martha, Hanna & Egon, Hertha & Werner and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She had a generous, gentle heart and always looked at things with an optimistic spirit. Hilda was wise and humorous and embraced others with a selfless kind of love that will be remembered forever. Hilda was an outstanding wife, mother and friend whose unconditional love and support will always be remembered.
A celebration of Hilda's life was held on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 at 2 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services,4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Hilda's name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
