HOPE KITZLER

February 3, 1945 - June 5, 2016

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hope Kitzler. Hope passed away very suddenly at the Nanaimo General Hospital on the morning of June 5, 2016.

Hope married her high school sweetheart Jerry in 1964 and they moved to Flin Flon, MB. In 1966 they relocated to Snow Lake.

Hope was actively involved in the community and clubs like the Kinsmen/Kinettes, and the golf course. She quickly established many many friendships, most of which would last throughout her entire life.

Family and friends were paramount to Hope and she loved to plan visits, host, and feed everyone that came through their house on Cedar Ave. The door was open to everyone and there was always plenty of food.

Hope (and Jerry) spent 42 years in Snow Lake before moving out to Vancouver Island. There they found their dream location in a temperate climate, with the ocean, mountains and lots of golf.

She passed away on a Sunday morning with her high school sweetheart, husband, and life partner of almost 60 years beside her.

Hope is survived by her husband Jerry; her son Rick, with wife Jeanna and granddaughters Ashley and Emily; her daughter Kathy, with husband Syd and grandson Colin. Hope’s siblings left in mourning are sisters Zarett, Cindy, sister-in-law Janice, and their families.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the organization of your choice.
