Born 1933 in Wuppertal Germany died on Sunday May 29, 2011 in Parksville BC. Horst married the love of his life Erika in Germany in 1954, who pre deceased him in November of 2006 at the age of 69. They were married for 52 years and had 3 children, Bernd (Karen) of Nova Scotia, Iris (Mark) of Qualicum Beach, Mike (Tammy) of New York before moving to Edmonton AB in 1966. They lived in Victoria for 15 years before retiring in Weyburn SK. Horst moved to Qualicum Beach in 2008 and lived at the Gardens in Qualicum Beach.
Horst has six grandchildren; Nadia, Simon, Skylar, Leon, Jordan, and Morgan; and two great grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah, and another on the way.
There will be no service by request.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
