Howard passed away peacefully at Arrowsmith Lodge on Sunday Feb. 3, 2013. He was born and raised in Moose Jaw. Howard was the beloved husband of Joy for 60 years; he is also survived by son Dean (Linda) daughter Diane Hoy (Dave); grandchildren Chris and Michael (Rachel) Jacobson, Kelly (Natalie) Hoy, and Kevin Hoy and great grandchildren Evan and Ella Hoy. He was predeceased by sisters Dorothy, Grace and Audrey and brothers Ron and Allan.
Howard worked as a refinery inspector in Edmonton and Nova Scotia. He retired to Parksville in 1992 where he enjoyed golfing, wood carving, lawn bowling and gardening. A tea celebrating Howard's life will be held
at the Bayside Hotel from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday March 2, 2013. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
