It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jim at N.R.G.H.

Jim is survived by his mother, Eunice Anderson, daughter Teresa Etmannski (Frank), Nanaimo, brother Bill (Val), sister Diana-Lee Baker (Bill), Lantzville, brother Kevin Anderson (Shelly), Dawson City, Yukon, three grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends by whom he was very much loved.

He is predeceased by his father Frank of Port Alberni in 1979, his stepfather Cas in 1988 and stepson Mark in 1988.

Jim was a former member of the Qualicum Beach Volunteer Fire Dept., and past president of the Qualicum Beach Curling Club. As an avid sports fan, Jim was a supporter of the Nanaimo Clippers, Parksville Generals Hockey and local fastball teams, as well as a regular supporter of Saratoga and Western Speedway.

Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving and visiting with his many buddies.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Qualicum Beach Legion at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 4.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charities of choice in Jim’s name.
