April 14, 1953 - August 6, 2018
We are deeply saddened to announce that Jim passed away on August 6, 2018 after a brief and sudden illness.

Jim was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on April 14, 1953. His family moved to Duncan, BC in 1967. There he met Patricia (Trish) Hunt, whom he would marry on August 25, 1973. They moved to Prince George in 1975, where they raised their children and foster-children.

Jim was a CGA and spent his career in healthcare administration in Prince George and the lower mainland. After retiring to Errington, Jim and Trish recently moved back to Prince George to be closer to family. Jim loved reading, renovating, camping and his family. He collected scars and friends easily and cherished them all.

Jim is survived by his wife, Trish, sons, Jason (Daniela), Darren (Rae-ann) and Steven, and grandchildren, Owen and Emily; foster-children, Krystal, Ivan and Violet; mother, Elaine; sisters, Shelley (Dave), Brenda (Arnie) and Lianne (Mitch), his brother-in-law, Bob, and nieces and nephews; best friend, Rob, and other family and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ray, and sister, Barb.

Thank you to the critical care paramedics, and the nurses and doctors at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia and St. Paul's Hospital, for the outstanding care and compassion they provided Jim and his family.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, August 18 from 1 to 4 pm at the Parkhill Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation or St. Paul's Foundation.
