Born March 30, 1929 - Died Jan. 7, 2009

It is with great sadness, that the family announced the death of Jim LeMoine. Predeceased by his parents, Edith and Harold LeMoine. Jim leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 56 years, Joan and family; John and Joanne from Terrace, Bob from Claresholom, David and Vicki from Edmonton, Alan and Tami from Strathmore, Paul and Shelley from Kelowna, and Lise and Dave from Claresholom. One brother Lloyd and Pat and sister, Mary Jo all from Gravenhurst. Sister-in-law Margaret of Whitehorse, Yukon. Also many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Jim and Joan have 14 grandchildren, and one great grandson. Jim was born in Toronto, and worked for Swift Canadian, he and Joan and boys moved several times in Ontario, and got transferred to Union Packing in Calgary in 1962, where daughter Lise joined the family in 1965. Jim joined Texaco in 1968 and was transferred to Edmonton, where they lived for 24 years...they moved to Kelowna in 1992 and, retired to Parksville in 1995, where they both immediately got involved with community activities. Jim was a volunteer driver for SOS for 10 years, served on the Board of Directors for the Summer Beach Festival for 8 years, was on the Canada Day Committee for 8 years, volunteered for the Community Police Office for 2, volunteered for the Poppy Fund, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Jim will be greatly missed by family and many good friends.

At Jim’s request, there will be a celebration of life on

Saturday, January 17th at the Legion, Branch 49,

146 Hirst Street, Parksville from 1 to 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that donations be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 49 Building Fund.
