Jim was born in Newcastle West, County Limerick, Ireland.  He left Ireland as a young man to work for the Bermuda Police where he met Veronica in 1949. They married in London Ontario and moved to Bralorne, BC shortly thereafter where they lived for 10 years enjoying the Bridge River Valley.

Castlegar became their home for 24 yrs with Jim becoming a millwright at Celgar Pulp Mill. They retired to Christina Lake in 1984 and then to Qualicum Beach in 1997.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Jim at The Gardens.  Jim truly appreciated all that was done for him by the nursing and support staff on 3rd floor.  A special thanks to those who understood the importance of a hot cup of tea.
