Fairway, James Milton
March 2, 1923 - December 15, 2009
Mr. James (Jim) Milton Fairway, beloved husband of Mrs. Thelma Fairway of Nanaimo and formerly of Parksville, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the age of 86 years.
Jim was born in Montreal, QC and was raised there as well. He served with the RCAF as a fighter pilot during WWII. Jim married Thelma in 1943 in Winnipeg. He was employed with Bell Canada for many years prior to his retirement from there. Jim and Thelma moved from Parksville to Nanaimo in 2006.
Besides his loving wife Thelma, Jim is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Bonnie Fairway of Calgary, two grandchildren, Angie and Dave, a sister Beverly (Eddie) Marino and a nephew Glenn and a niece Terrie.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 10:30 am at
