Jim died unexpectedly at NRGH succumbing to Covid-19.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean, parents Joan and Stanley and brother- in- law John Krog.
He leaves to mourn his sister Susan Krog, brother Bob (Ruth) Woodley, nephews Douglas (Janice) Woodley and Bruce (Heidi) Woodley.
Jim was a kind and gentle soul, living a quiet life always in Parksville.
He worked at Alberni Pulp and Paper Mill, primarily the Woodroom, for 39 years.
Jim's many passions during his life included:
Steelhead fishing the Little Qualicum River, Kite flying at Parksville Beach, fly tying to lure those elusive Rainbow Trout, model railroading, and tending his beautiful dahlia gardens.
No service by request. A family gathering to celebrate Jim's life will be held in the coming year.
