In Loving Memory ~
Jean loved to play and sing with her friends on the rolling hills in Estevan Sask. where she was born. After graduation she began to train as a Psychiatric nurse in Weyburn Sask., until she joined the Air force and stationed back east.
In 1959 she married and moved to Vancouver Island spending time in Nanaimo, Wakeman Sound, and Ucluelet where she sold Avon and opened her dress shop "The Village Fashion Shoppe".
In 1976 she moved her shop to Mission until she sold. She moved to Coquitlam and went to work at Valley View as a Health care worker/Physio therapist aid, until she retired. She moved to Parksville in 2015. Jean loved to shop, the city, her kitty's, her friends, her family, her roots.
While Jean was very... determined, it did not matter how successful anyone was to her, what mattered was kindness and compassion.
She leaves behind her daughter Averil (husband Doug Matthews) her grandchildren Derek, David, Bryan and Paul their partners and her great grandchildren; her brother Ernest Erickson his children and grandchildren and the children and grandchildren of her predeceased brothers Don and Calvin and sister Marion.
Jean was ready and looking forward to walking the streets of gold with Jesus.
