JEANETTE EVELYN MACGREGOR

November 19, 1923 -

April 20, 2011


Jeanette passed away peacefully on April 20th at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Jean as she was affectionately known, was full of life; she embraced music, art, gardening, writing, singing, acting, collectibles and all of God's creatures. She served tirelessly during WWII as a volunteer with the Women's Auxiliary Royal Air Force in England. In 1949 Jean traveled to South America with her first husband John McCormick when he was employed by British South American Airways. They came to Canada in 1951 with their first son, Peter. John enlisted in the RCAF where they had numerous postings throughout Canada and the USA. Jean was a successful realtor in Victoria BC. after she achieved her license in 1976. Jean leaves behind her children Carolyn, Sean (Wendy), Anthony, and predeceased by her eldest child Peter. Her grand daughters, Penni, Kyla and Sara, her great grandsons Rory and Jax, as well as many dear friends will sadly miss her.


The family wishes to especially thank Tanya and Judy for their help and friendship over the years.


There will be a gathering to celebrate Jean’s life at her home in The Pacific Grand in Parksville, B.C. on Sunday May 8th at 1pm


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the World Wildlife Fund.
