JEFFREY ERNEST DIETRICH

Born December 2, 1965-March 26, 2017

On the night of March 26, 2017 a shooting star shot through the sky, and my bestest, longest friend and soulmate was taken from me and all who loved him.

Jeff, 51 years old, spent most of his life living on Vancouver Island and in his later years moved to Vancouver, BC where he spent the last years in the fishing industry.

Jeff is survived by his father Ernest, his brother Carl, sister-in-law Terryann, and his nephew Ty Dietrich whom he loved so very much, and many loving friends. Jeff was a real character who told jokes, and liked to play jokes on his friends, and his co-workers at his work and made everyone laugh. He had a huge heart for all animals, and was a fantastic cook, and had a huge passion for hot rods. He was such a loving and caring person.

Jeff also had another family I called his fishing boat family from the Northern Alliance whom Stacey and Parker would like to add this: The Northern Alliance family is saddened by Jeff’s passing, his quick wit and story telling will be remembered often “See you on the haulback bud”. And his dear dear friend Carol would like to say: Jeff was so loved, you were my true friend, I think of your everyday and you will always be in my heart forever.

Jeff will be remembered by all. As for me there has not been a day that goes by that I don’t cry or smile thinking of him, nor will there ever be a day he is not thought of, that is how special he was to all who knew him, and now he is at peace with his beautiful Mom Rosie who he never got over when she passed, Garrett, and Elmer (his fav dog).

A celebration for Jeff will be held on June 11, 2017 at my home Kelly

#11-1749 Whibley Rd. Errington, from 2-6. Everyone is encouraged to come and bring a story, a smile, or a picture for the memory board.

Parking is limited so please park at the end of the complex,

or on the right in the field when you enter the complex.

“If all the tears I have cried, could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back home to me again.” When my time comes I know our souls will meet again and you will be waiting to take that final walk we never got to do, and I will wait for that annoying pat on the head, that now I miss so much. I love you Ernie.
