It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jennifer Doerwaldt. Surrounded by her loving family, Jennifer passed away on February 27, 2018.
Jenny was born in Estcourt, South Africa. She met John, the love of her life, and they got married in 1975. The couple and their daughter, Karin, moved to Vancouver where they started building a new life in Canada. After a successful working life, the couple retired to a small acreage in Vernon, where they made many friends. Jenny loved the countryside and she created beautiful gardens and enjoyed her farm animals.
After a first battle with cancer, they spent the next 16 wonderful years travelling together. In 2011 they moved to Parksville, and loved being close with their daughter Karin and her family.
Jenny will be sorely missed by her loving husband John, her daughter Karin Barker, son in law Cam Barker, and grandson, Graham Barker.
Jenny was the most wonderful wife, loving mother and Nana.
