Jessie Margaret LOCKE

July 20, 2007

LOCKE, Jessie Margaret (nee Fawcett)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nana, grandnana (Nana Locke).

Jessie was born in Ladner, BC, where she spent her youth. She was predeceased by her husband Jack (Edwin John Bert) in 1971. She lived on her own in Vancouver until 2004 at which time she moved to Parksville to be close to her family.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jessie is survived by her son Richard Locke and her daughter Linda Klassen (Doug); by her grandchildren Steven Klassen (Leslie), Michael Klassen (Lene) and Jennifer Atkinson (Robert); by her step-grandchildren Darlene Kellett (Lindsay), Bonny Staniszkis (Tom) and Grant Klassen; and by her great-grand children (her greatest treasures of all) Jessica, Miranda, Jacob, Nicholas, Mia, Benjamin and Matias; and also her cherished step-great-grandchildren Christopher, Kathrina, Patricia, Francis, Hannah, Austin and Klara.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Nanaimo General Hospital, particularly nurses Trish and Lee in Emergency and Chrystal on the 3rd floor, doctors Morris and Edwards. A special thanks too to the Qualicum ambulance crew whose exceptional thoughtfulness and kindness was amazing.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 21st at 1:30 pm at St. Edmunds Anglican Church, 407 Wembley Road in Parksville with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flower, please make a donation in her memory to the charity of your choice.

I know no pain, I know no fear

Since God and Love and Truth are here.
