April 23, 1923 - January 19, 2022
Mom passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2022 at the age of 98. Predeceased by husband Dirk (2005), sons: Rene (2004), Freddy (Nov. 18, 2021). Siblings: Wim & Cox in Holland.
She is survived by her children: Wende Marocchi (Brent Crossley), Stephen (Karen), daughter-in-law Margie and sister Tiny in Holland. Also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom and Dad moved from our family home on Beaver Creek Rd to Nanaimo in their later years. After Dad passed away, mom moved to Abbeyfield in Port Alberni, then to Stanford Place in Parksville and lastly to Evergreen Seniors Home in Campbell River where she would receive better care.
Our most heartfelt thanks to the staff at Evergreen. Even though we had to move mom further away from us and not be able to see her as often, our minds were at ease in knowing that she was receiving the best of care.
