John was born in Vecses, Hungary on July 26, 1923 and passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011. He was predeceased by his first wife Anna and two infant daughters in Hungary. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen, his children, John Jr. (Ronnie), Matt (Anna), Mark (Joanne) and Kathleen (Chris), his step-children Debbie (Norm) and Steven (Noriko) and 18 adoring grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
John immigrated to Canada in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution and after learning to speak English, became a music teacher and eventual music store owner. He was a wonderful husband and father and was loved very dearly. There will be no formal service by request but a celebration of John’s life will be held in late July to allow for travel arrangements
to be made by several members of the family.
