HARRIS, John Howell (Jack)
Born June 30, 1930 in Vancouver, passed away October 5, 2006.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Florence, his six children Tom (Lani), Vicki (Norm), Geoff (June), Rob (Brenda), Anne, and William (Susan) and his four grandchildren, Bradley, Corrin, Andrew and Kelly. Also his sister, Daphne Shaw.
Agrology was his profession – he earned his BSc at UBC, his MSc at the OAC, U of T, and his PhD at Washington State College. In his retirement, bridge was his passion. He fostered the love of the game by teaching bridge at ElderCollege and founding Jack’s Bridge Club, which meets weekly in Parksville.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at The Meadows, 120 Finholm St. N.
