JOHN MOORE
1946 - 2015
John died May 16th in Vancouver after a short battle with bone cancer. He was 68 years young.
Predeceased by his parents (Donald and Barbara Moore) and cousins (Rosy and John Lecky), John is survived by his sister, Dianne, cousin, Janet Griesdale (nee Lecky) and a rich network of friends, family and community.
John was vibrant, strong and full of life. Educated at the Universities of Toronto and Pennsylvania, he was a successful Architect, City Planner and Developer.
He leaves a rich legacy with many friends with whom he water-skied, snow-skied and boat camped. He loved carpentry, building and renovating derelict buildings. In later years he was a regular participant at the Nanaimo Friday night auction and enjoyed many happy times on Mudge Island.
His family is grateful for the staff at Holy Family Rehabilitation Centre and St John Hospice in Vancouver who cared for John in his final weeks.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on

French Creek Marine Pub in Parksville
on Vancouver Island, BC.
