John Victor Markoskie, CDR/USN/RET
April 20, 1930 – May 25, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce that John slipped away peacefully on Sunday, May 25th.
Born in Portland, Oregon, he was an outstanding athlete during his high school and university years. John graduated from Willamette University in 1952, joined the navy and rose to the rank of Commander. He saw most of the world during his days in the navy and upon his retirement in 1980 kept travelling to see the rest.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Terrie and many relatives in the United States. In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no service.
