ZALM, John William
(August 29, 1930 - July 17, 2005)
John William Zalm, born August 29th, 1930 in Aulkmaar, Holland left our world on July 17th, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.
John leaves to mourn; Nelly, his wife of 51 years, son Tom with wife Susan, son Fred, daughter Yvonne with husband Stephan, and grandchildren Caitlin, Cassandra, Hailey, D.J. and Christopher. Adopting Canada as his home in 1953, John built a full and fruitful life,
creating a legacy of pride and love for those he leaves behind. Enjoying every day, John was an avid dancer, fisherman, and general tinkerer. His involvement in community activities leaves a wide circle of friends who have been touched by his presence and will mourn his loss.
John and his family invite you to join them in a
Celebration of Life on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Yates Funeral Home
on Allsbrook Road in Parksville.
