It is with a shattered heart that Jordan's Mom, Valerie Mitchell (Parksville) shares the news of Jordan's passing in Abbotsford, B. C.
Jordan was predeceased by his Dad, Gordon Mitchell, in 2003, his Grandma, Eileen Colibaba (Parksville) in 2020 and his best friend, Mike Barnhardt in 2017. Left to mourn their loss are his brothers, David and Adam Mitchell (Vancouver), his nephew, Eric Mitchell (Sherwood Park, AB), his uncles Tim Colibaba (Parksville), Ed Mitchell (West Vancouver), his aunt Chris Colibaba (Randy Senft)
(Nanaimo), his cousins, his very special friend Olivia Smith (Victoria) and her children, Aaron and Aaliya and the hundreds of people whose lives were blessed by knowing Jordan.
Jordan grew up in Parksville, but travelled throughout North America, touching the lives of many friends and making them laugh hysterically along the way. Family was the most important thing in his life and he was very proud of his Scottish heritage. Jordan was an excellent cook and loved feeding family and friends alike. He also was an accomplished tradesman and took great pride in the execution of his work. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, his kindness and compassion, and the caregiver's heart that he showed from a very young age, best exemplified in the support he gave his Mom during the care of his grandmother at the end of her life last year.
Jordan's family wishes to express their gratitude to Heather and Nick, who shared their happy, comfortable home with Jordan during the last 6 months of his life.
An announcement regarding Celebration of Life will be made at a later date.
