Joyce Agnes Townsley
nee Stobbart, Hamilton
Born January 11, 1939
Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2015 at Nanaimo BC with her family at her side. She was 76 years old.
Joyce is survived by her husband Bryan Townsley; daughter Crystal Doucette from Salt Spring Island; son Gray Hamilton of Prince George, BC.; sisters Marlene Uphill of Fernie, BC and Joan Stobbart of Victoria, BC.; grand children Sarah, Jenny and Jamie Doucette, Gray Hamilton Jr., also two great grandchildren Sivetta and Gray.
Loved by all that knew her, Joyce was know for her caring spirit and zest for life, an avid bingo player, knitter and traveller.
Joyce was the life of the party and brought laughter to all that knew her. She had a kind heart and a caring spirit and truly believed that everyone deserved a second chance and was always willing to give them one. Joyce spent most of her working life at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria and Victoria General Hospital.
Joyce’s family and friends will gather on a later date to honor her memory and celebrate her life.
