June Hayward (Fast)
March 16, 1923- March 24, 2005
It is with great sadness that the Hayward Family announces the passing of our Nana June. June was born in Winnipeg and
resided there with her family until moving to BC in 1988. While in BC, June made many wonderful friends and loved living
in Qualicum Beach. June could often be seen scooting around the town streets in her red scooter, fondly named Scarlet
O'Hayward. June was an avid reader, bird watcher and enjoyed watching the Antiques Roadshow. Her grandchildren felt and
know that Nana knew it all!!
June was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1987, her son Mark in 1997, and her eldest grandson Stephen in 1998. Nana
June will be missed by her children Judi (Dave), Ted (Lizanne), Tom (Linda), Dan and her daughter in laws Sue and Kathy.
Also by her grandchildren Mark, Melanie, Corey, Sakura, Amanda, Celine, Elizabeth and Emilie.
Nana June always offered us a listening ear, her warm heart and made the best home-made chicken soup and shortbread. We
will all miss your smile, thoughtful way and wonderful cards.
A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends
on April 16th from 1-4 PM at June's home.
