14 June 1922 – September 2, 2016
On Friday, September 2nd, Mom passed away quietly and peacefully of “old age” with her two kittens and two dogs at her side. Mom lived a full and interesting life and leaves behind many friends and family – children Kathy (Rick), Bill (Lynn) and Jodi. Grand daughter Jessyca and Great grandchildren Chloe and Kendall.
Mom’s circle of friends was wide and inclusive. St. Mary’s Church Nanoose meant much to her, the Parksville Art Community, Potter’s Guild, Nanoose Community League, Garden Club helped her express her charming artistic talents. She was a great baker and sold bread and pies at the Errington Market, had many egg customer friends and was a wonderful mother supporting all her children in their 4H endeavours, horse shows, fall fairs.
She adored a bargain and thrift shopping was a delight to the end. Why pay more than you have to!! She had Last Rites on Wednesday evening and when the wine touched her tongue she smiled and licked her lips – always did enjoy a nice glass of wine!
We will have one for mom on September 30 at a Service of
Celebration of a life fully and generously lived. Please come and join us at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Nanoose Bay from 2-5pm
and wear bright colours which mom loved so well.
