January 23,1935 to September 14, 2008
Kathy passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Josephine Gee, grandson Shane Gee of Nanaimo, sister inlaw Florence Robertshaw & family in Cheshire, England and brother inlaw Frank Outlaw of Bradford, England.
Kathy was an immigrant to Canada and settled in Calgary where she enjoyed the pace and politics of Alberta. Her love of warm weather and a desire to be near the sea brought her to Qualicum Beach where she chose to retire. Though England was always in her heart she was proud of her Canadian citizenship. Politically minded, avid reader, tippler, rocker at heart and a strong supporter of all animals, Kathy will be missed.
Celebration of Kathy’s life will be held
Thursday, May 28th at 2 p.m. Yates Funeral Home
& Crematorium, 1000 Allsbrook Road
(off Alberni Hwy & Bellevue Rd), Parksville B.C.
