In loving memory ~
Sadly, on June 16th we lost a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Kathleen Schwartzenberger (née McBride). Born on September 30th, 1938 in Port Alberni and grew up in Union Bay. She was an avid golfer for many years, and loved going to the Casino, she also enjoyed a good hockey game, her favourite team being the Canucks.
Kathy was predeceased by her brother Ron, her sister Sharon, and daughter Gillian. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill. Her children—Leora (Frank), Jack, Jamie (Sharon) & Jeff (Jamie). Her grandchildren—Sarah, Michael, & Taylor, and Great-Granddaughter Kylee, and her brother Doug(May).
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for friends and family. In Lieu of flowers and cards, donations can be made to Oceanside Hospice & BCSPCA.
