Kay DAVIES
January 18, 1929 - September 30, 2013
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kay Davies after succumbing to a battle with lung cancer. Kay endured her illness with dignity and stoicism.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh. Kay is survived by children Glynn Davies (Frieda) of Toronto and their children and grandchildren, Paul Davies (Jean) of Oakville, and Laurie Smith (David) of Vancouver. She is also dearly missed by her sisters Ellen Duffy (Art) of Parksville and Doreen Tough (Jim) of England, brothers-in-law Glenn Naylor of Parksville and Eric Thompson of England, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also left to mourn is her devoted companion Jim Thompson of Qualicum Beach.
The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to the exemplary staff of Qualicum Manor who provided compassionate and excellent care to Kay during her final months.
A beautiful family gathering and memorial service were held to celebrate and honour her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
