In loving memory - It is with incredible heartbreak and sorrow that we share Ken's passing on Jan 26, 2022. Survived by his loving wife Glynis of 32 years (together for 37 years), son Riley, daughter Eilish, his mother Beverley Anderson, sister Terri (Paul) Goundan, brothers Don Anderson and Jim Anderson. Mother- in-law Judy Jack, brother- in- law Alan (Anna) Jack. And many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his dad Charles Anderson and his father- in - law Richard Jack. Ken was born in Vancouver and raised in Port Alberni. Ken started his auto painting career at Harbourview Collision in Port Alberni, he spent 10 years there and then moved to Vancouver to be with Glynis, where he worked at Flag Chev Olds for 10 years. Once Riley and Eilish were born Ken and Glynis moved back to the Oceanside area to be close to family, where Ken then worked for Terminal Auto Body in Parksville for 24 years. Ken had many fond memories and stories of growing up on Sproat Lake; perfecting his amazing swimming skills, getting up to shenanigans with his buddies and cruising in his Chevy II. Settling in Nanoose Bay for the last 19 years, Ken loved nothing more than to drive his Kubota and work in the yard of his small acreage, or go for little cruises in his Chevy II (only on dry days). Of all things, he was proudest to be called dad and he was an amazing one, he loved his little family more than anything, always so supportive of everything they were interested in - from guitars to horses. Ken was always so happy and fun and easy to be around. He was an amazing husband and father and we are heartbroken he was taken from us far too early, he had just started his retirement (May 2021) and had all sorts of big plans to travel and relax. Ken has left us all with many wonderful memories. A celebration of life will be held at a later date where we can all share those fond stories and memories. Ken was surrounded by his loving family during his final hours. Special thanks to Dr. Brad Bell and staff, Oceanside Hospice Drs and nurses who were so kind and helpful.
